The Tripura government is formulating a comprehensive employee transfer policy to ensure equitable deployment of government personnel across all regions of the state, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced today.
Speaking at the inauguration of the newly constructed Madhupur Higher Secondary School building in Sepahijala district, Dr. Saha emphasized that no government employee will be allowed to remain in one location indefinitely, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to transparency and fairness in governance.
“The policy will also include provisions to accommodate special circumstances where required,” he added.
Highlighting the government’s broader development agenda, Dr. Saha, who also serves as Tripura’s Education Minister, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to holistic growth.
“Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized inclusive development. Since 2014, under his leadership, we have seen focused efforts to uplift even the remotest regions of the country. In Tripura too, we are determined to ensure that progress reaches every corner,”
the Chief Minister stated.
Dr. Saha underscored education as a top priority, noting the simultaneous development of educational infrastructure across the state.
“We are not only constructing school buildings but also improving the quality of teaching. Teacher training programs are being rolled out to enhance academic standards. Our students—like clay dolls—must be shaped with the right guidance.”
He acknowledged the improved performance of students in TBSE and CBSE examinations in recent years and stressed the importance of character-building alongside academic learning.
“Education is not just about marks. Our children must be encouraged to engage in social service and learn about inspiring figures. They must grow into responsible and compassionate individuals,” he added.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including MLA Antara Sarkar Deb, Sepahijala Zilla Sabhadhipati Supriya Das Dutta, Bishalgarh Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Atusi Das, Education Director N.C. Sharma, District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police Bijay Debbarma, among others.
The inauguration of the new school building marks another milestone in Tripura’s education reforms and infrastructure enhancement under the current administration.
