Contraband Cough Syrup and Ganja Seized at Agartala Railway Station: One Detained
On June 24, Agartala's General Railway Police seized 270 bottles of misused cough syrup and 21.49 kilograms of cannabis in separate operations at the railway station. No suspects were apprehended for the cough syrup, suspected for smuggling to Bangladesh, while a woman was arrested with cannabis en route to Delhi. Drug trafficking remains a significant concern in Tripura.
