In a major boost to India’s defence manufacturing sector, Noida-headquartered drone-tech company Raphe mPhibr has raised $100 million in funding, marking a significant milestone for the homegrown startup. The round was led by General Catalyst, making it the firm’s largest-ever investment in the aerospace and defence manufacturing space.
Founded by brothers Vivek Mishra (CEO) and Vikash Mishra (Chairman), Raphe mPhibr specializes in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for a range of defence and strategic applications.
The funding is expected to propel the startup’s capabilities in advanced drone production and innovation at scale, furthering India’s ambitions of achieving self-reliance in critical defence technologies.
Neeraj Arora, Managing Director at General Catalyst, expressed strong confidence in the company’s vision and potential:

Raphe mPhibr has been making headlines in recent months for its role in key defence initiatives, including Operation Sindoor, where its UAVs played a crucial role in supporting strategic missions.
The latest funding round will allow the startup to expand production, invest in R&D, and scale up operations domestically and internationally, reinforcing India’s position as a rising leader in indigenous defence technology.
