ECI Hits Back at Rahul Gandhi—“Baseless Allegations” of Voter Fraud
Aug 9, New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi further intensified his attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party before the upcoming elections, claiming that he described the “nuclear bombs” of the alleged fake vote. Addressing a charged rally on Saturday, Gandhi seized the view that he would call this “explosive evidence” a systematic attempt to manipulate the democratic process.
Although Gandhi refrained from expressing the exact nature of evidence, he indicated that the details would be made public at the right time, the proposed information that could be far -reaching political consequences. His comments have quickly become a topic in political circles, the BJP has strongly rejected the leaders who rejected this claim as a “baseless theater” designed to confuse voters.
BJP veteran spokeswoman Gandhi challenged his allegations to be immediately published in the true hall. A BJP leader said,
“Rahul Gandhi is trying to create an atmosphere of disbelief before the election.”
Political analysts have noted that the dramatic choice of the words of the Congress leader – comparing the proof with a “atom bomb” – was aimed at attracting public attention and encouraging party workers. However, they further warn that the statement without concrete proof is being considered as a political posture instead of a brief publication.
The Election Commission has so far refused to comment on Gandhi’s comments, mentioning that any allegations or proofs must be formally submitted for verification. In the meantime, both sides are ready for a heated promotion season on the issue of electoral integrity at the center of national discussion.
