Bangladesh Air Force Jet Crashes into School in Dhaka’s Tejgaon Area

Dhaka, Bangladesh – A devastating incident occurred in Dhaka when a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into a school building, resulting in at least one fatality. The aircraft, an F-7 BGI, plummeted into the Milestone School and College, causing a massive fire that was quickly responded to by emergency services.

Children were present at the school at the time of the crash, and witnesses reported seeing a thick plume of smoke rising from the scene. Eight fire service units rushed to the location to extinguish the blaze.

According to Lima Khanam, duty officer at the Fire Service Central Control Room,

“Our team has recovered one body. The Air Force has rescued four people with injuries and taken them away.”

The injured individuals were swiftly rescued and taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown, and an investigation is likely to be launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
